Eva Pavon - Translator
Eva writes
"After completing a highly respected degree in Translation and Interpreting in Spain, I searched for steady part-time work ever since I arrived in the UK in July 1998. I was always enthusiastic to use my languages not only in translation and interpreting but also in teaching, and eager to top up with any courses necessary in the UK. However, I also wanted to pursue a spiritual path in Buddhist meditation, which meant that I did not have a lot of time either searching for work or doing it.
Being on and off benefits for about five years, I found the Into Business Scheme, to which I am forever grateful. It provided me with the serious regular support I needed, both moral and technical, to take that one step further. These people know what they're doing and they actually believe in their clients, that they can achieve whatever their dreams are. I have no qualms about recommending the Into Business Scheme for anybody who is serious about finding work.
For me, self-employment suited both my skills and my dream of simply making a steady living in order to continue with my chosen lifestyle. On completing the Scheme, through increasing the translation and interpreting assignments and getting a permanent fractional teaching job in Adult and Community Learning, I have finally come off Jobseekers Allowance and Housing Benefit and am able to do just that."
